Kosovo police announced they have confiscated a can of gasoline and a baseball bat from a BMW car that they stopped and searched.

Vetevendosje officials Dardan Mulliqaj, Xhelal Sveqla and Zgjim Hyseni, who all have arrest warrants out on them, have appeared in the crowd of protesters after months in hiding.They are suspected of having played a role in previous violence that occurred during opposition protests in Pristina.It is unclear whether police will try to detain them, which could escalate events.

Today’s Kosovo opposition protest, which was attended by tens of thousands of people, concluded peacefully in Pristina.This is the only entirely peaceful opposition rally held in Kosovo's capital since autumn 2015, as all others have escalated into violence at some point during or after the events.During the rally, opposition leaders gave an ultimatum to the government of Prime Minister Isa Mustafa to resign before February 27, or protests will continue.Our coverage of today's rally was brought to you by the BIRN Kosovo team.
